SNCF Connect sells more than core TGV bookings: the platform lists TGV INOUI, OUIGO, INTERCITÉS, TER, Eurostar, TGV Lyria, DB SNCF Voyageurs in cooperation, and selected bus operators. When a card checkout is offered, SolCard can cover those rail and coach purchases from one account.

SNCF Connect also sells products such as Carte Avantage, Carte Liberté, MAX JEUNE, MAX SENIOR, and weekly or monthly passes. That makes SolCard relevant if you mix occasional trips with railcards or subscription-style travel products bought online.

SNCF Connect lets you place a free option on many exchangeable and refundable fares, lock the seat and price for a limited time, then return later to finish payment. If the option was created on SNCF Connect, payment also has to be completed there before the deadline.

SNCF Connect offers PayPal only from EUR30 and excludes it on some purchases, including Allianz insurance, donations, BlaBlaCar, BlaBlaCar Bus, FlixBus, Uber, urban offers, and TER Zou. A standard card route remains the broader fallback when those exclusions matter.

SNCF's after-sales rules change by train company and fare. OUIGO tickets are exchange-only, many tickets stop allowing changes after departure, and special situations such as disruptions or flexible business fares follow their own rules. Using a dedicated SolCard makes those rail charges easier to review.

Avantage and Liberté cards bought on SNCF Connect can generally be withdrawn within 14 days only if no eligible trip has been taken or remains booked, and the request has to go through the same sales channel. SolCard is helpful if you want those purchases clearly separated from everyday card spending.
