Use SolCard in Navigo flows that already take cards
Pay in the Ile-de-France Mobilites app or My Navigo area for tickets, day passes, and other card-paid top-ups with SolCard. If a product is collected only by SEPA direct debit, such as Navigo Liberte+, SolCard is not the right path for that charge.
Why SolCard fits card-based Navigo purchases
Navigo is not one generic metro pass. Official products include Metro-Train-RER Tickets, Bus-Tram Tickets, Paris Region <> Airports Tickets, and Navigo Day, Week, and Month passes, so SolCard is useful when you need to fund the exact fare product your trip calls for.
Ile-de-France Mobilites lets many tickets be bought on a compatible iPhone or Android phone, or loaded onto a Navigo Easy pass from the phone. SolCard is practical when you want to recharge remotely instead of lining up at a station counter or vending machine.
Navigo Easy is anonymous and rechargeable, and it can hold single tickets, day passes, and airport tickets. That makes SolCard a natural fit for visitor and occasional-rider purchases, where prepaid top-ups matter more than long-term subscription billing.
Navigo uses different payment models across its products. The My Navigo website accepts bank card and SEPA direct debit, Navigo Liberte+ is invoiced the following month by direct debit, and Annual can be either monthly debit or an upfront card-paid purchase. SolCard fits the card side of that split.
Ile-de-France Mobilites says authentication with Ile-de-France Mobilites Connect is mandatory to buy Navigo Month and Week on phone. Simpler mobile purchases still require a compatible device, a credit card, and an email address for the receipt, so account setup can affect payment before checkout starts.
The airport rules change by product. Navigo Day does not cover journeys to or from the airports, the Paris Region <> Airports Ticket is sold separately, and the all-zones Week pass does include airport journeys. SolCard helps when you are paying for the right airport product rather than guessing.

About Navigo
Navigo is the fare and pass system for Paris and the wider Ile-de-France public transport network. Riders use it for Metro-Train-RER Tickets, Bus-Tram Tickets, Paris Region <> Airports Tickets, and Navigo Day, Week, Month, Annual, and Liberte+ products through the Ile-de-France Mobilites app, the My Navigo online area, station machines, and sales counters. Navigo does not advertise native cryptocurrency payments, and its billing is not uniform: many tickets and top-ups can be paid by card, while products such as Navigo Liberte+ and some Annual setups rely on SEPA direct debit. SolCard is most useful for the card-based Navigo purchases you can complete online or in the official app.
Navigo payment and billing FAQ
No official Navigo or Ile-de-France Mobilites payment page lists cryptocurrency as a checkout option. The My Navigo help pages describe bank-card and SEPA payments for the website, and the mobile purchase guidance points riders to card-based payment methods instead. SolCard is the crypto-to-card route, not a native Navigo crypto checkout.
